Tasting Notes

2003 Oscar Semmler Shiraz Each year the most flavoursome and best structured Shiraz from barrel is blended together for the "Oscar Semmler", representing "the best of the vintage." This special selection of Shiraz grapes has been harvested at optimum maturity from our vineyard planted in 1975, and the must was fermented war (22-28C) for 7 days, before transferring to new and one year old French Oak Hogsheads to complete fermentation. The wine was then matured in these same oak barrels for a further 24 months. Big, mouth filling and flavoursome, with soft drying tannins.
