2002 McLaren Vale Shiraz

The grapes for this premium shiraz were harvested in March 2002 from vines that are over 30 years old.  The normally low March rainfall allows the grapes to fully ripen and concentrate the flavour, colour and tannin.

The 2002 release is deep red in colour with purple hues.  The nose shows complex spicy, pepper aromas integrated with sweet vanillan oak.  The palate is richly flavoured with spicy fruit and finishes with long lingering firm tannins.

This wine has the structure and breeding to continue to develop, with careful bottle maturation, for many years.

2002 McLaren Vale Petit Verdot

Brick red in colour with rich purple hues, this 2002 release shows lifted spicy violet and rose petal aromas.  The palate exhibits intense berry characters integrated with American oak during two years barrel maturation prior to bottling.  The finish is clean with fine lingering tannins.

Excellent drinking now and will reward careful cellaring for 5-8 year

2002 McLaren Vale Cabernet Sauvignon

From mature 35 year old vines that have consistently produced the highest quality fruit comes this very special 2002 release.

Deep brick red in colour with a palate that shows cassis / blackcurrant flavours coupled with complex barrel characteristics.  The finish is long with clean ripe fruit tannins – perfect with game dishes.

Excellent drinking now and will reward careful cellaring for 5-8 years
