The Ceravolo Family came to Australia from Italy over fifty years ago from the Old World to a New World. It was no co-incidence that they came from the 35 N Parallel in Southern Italy to the 35 S Parallel in the south of Australia. The family has been making wine and olive oil for hundreds of years. They brought Old World traditions and adapted New World expertise. Joe's passion was for the vineyards on the plains which produced premium grapes for other wineries award-winning wines. Some years ago, we decided the time was right to make wines in our own name. Our Andrews Road vineyards and olive grove are at Macdonald Park just north of Adelaide, the heart of South Australia's wine growing regions. ST ANDREWS seemed an apt choice to call our estate. (Heather's forebears came from Scotland and her father's name was Andrew, and the place where the vineyards and olive grove now are had been settled in the 1850s by pioneers, the Andrews family .... so again something about bringing together the old and the new .... The Best of Both Worlds ) ST ANDREWS ESTATE is just 50 acres. Our wines, single varieties from single vineyards, also reflect the best of both worlds. luscious full-flavoured wines from the Mediterrean Maritime climate of the sunny Adelaide Plains and classic sleek wines - an Italian-inspired Pinot Grigio and a Sauvignon Blanc - from the cooler climes near our home in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. We have three award-winning ranges with award winning distinctive packaging
